I’m really happy to reveal my latest print edition, Yours if You Want It.
For me, this piece is a visual reminder that we’re all capable of and entitled to happiness, the seeds are there inside us, we just have to make the choice to give them water. Marcus Aurelius said “The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts”, and now some 2000 years later, modern neuroscience confirms that through the practice of mindfulness we can physically alter the structure of our brains to positively effect our mental health and well-being. With effort, we can train our naturally pessimistic minds to notice the beauty in the world, to be kind to ourselves and others, and carry with us a deep sense of happiness and fulfilment.
All this can be challenging at the best of times, but 2020 has become a mountain to climb for most of us. Mental health charities like Mind are now more important than ever, so for every print sold I’ll be making a donation to Mind to help them continue the vital work they’re doing.
The editions will be released on Nov 6th at 4pm GMT over at shop.eelus.com.
“Know that joy is rarer, more difficult and more beautiful than sadness. Once you make this all important discovery, you must embrace joy as a moral obligation.” – André Gide
